Spring is in full swing and many in our community are hard at work on home improvement projects since we are spending more time in our homes these days. A current trend in the Pittsburgh homeowner community is to refresh window treatments by adding new shades and drape combinations that will enhance the style and function of a room. Window shades and drapes are a powerful duo that when combined properly, can make any room jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Pittsburgh Window Treatment company, Nest Expressions, has been creating window treatment combinations for over twenty years, and now we will share some of our favorite professional tips.
The first step to creating the look your windows deserve is to start by choosing the type of window shades that you want since drapes are the less permanent of the two fixtures. If you are furnishing windows in a small room, stick with bright, neutral, and clean shades, such as Hunter Douglas Honeycomb® or Pirouette® to open the space and enlarge the perception of the room.
