The main things to consider when selecting window shades for sliding glass doors are stacking, handle clearance, and frequency of door use. Stacking is how the shades will fall or “stack” when opened. There are three main stacking options: one-way draw stack left, one-way draw stack right, and split draw. Handle clearance is usually achieved when the shades are shallow enough that they fit comfortably between the door and the handle.
